Incomplete
Work, as an expression of love in life, is a masterpiece in the making. Deliberately left open to reviewing, adjusting, evolving, or eliminating what’s been created before.
Carl Jung illuminates
“Life really does begin at forty. Up until then you are just doing the research.”
Seven years into this phase and it resonates deeply. A new pattern emerges, and I see ‘glimmers’ of self-actualisation in formation… and with it, genuine self-acceptance.
While we are indoctrinated to know what we want to be when we ‘grow up’, there is a deficit in the system - a narrowing of what matters, and subsequently; a separation from education’s etymological root - ‘to lead out or bring forth’. Instead, we are ironically domesticated and somehow contained.
SELF - study is crucial to the creative curriculum; it harmonises an over rational state into one that allows for conceptual thinking.
And while we can look to close loops, it must remain malleable, to allow room for true evolution and experience; with play integral to the process.
To re imagine our choices as clues to a bigger picture… free to be many things, at any one time…without limitation and hesitation we get to embrace and have fun with own growth in progress, multidimensional in nature and complete in the incompleteness.
Dedicated to my students.
& With love and thanks to my friends/mentors/ coaches/ family, who educate and encourage me every day….. (you know who you are)
